My Website is Live! ๐ŸŽ‰

Sep 15, 2025

Posting on LinkedIn taught me two things: 1๏ธโƒฃ I love doing deep research to connect all the dots. 2๏ธโƒฃ LinkedIn isnโ€™t built for that kind of depth.

When I started posting on LinkedIn, I didnโ€™t expect much more than sharing a few thoughts in exchange for some networking capital.

But, in the process, I rediscovered my curiosity for deep research and writing.

I now wanted to understand electronics and manufacturing more. But this time, not just from a technical angle, but also from the economic and political perspective.

โ“ Why prefer a 2-pot inline selective soldering machine to wave soldering?
โ“ How does the electronics supply chain really work?
โ“ Why does Europe struggle to retain its manufacturing edge?
โ“ What does technological sovereignty mean in today's world?

I quickly found myself diving deep into research for every single post.

โ€”

To make sure I was adding value โ€“ and not noise, as I so openly declared โ€“ I often spent 1โ€“2 hours per post: reading, checking facts, refining arguments, editing, trimming.

โœ… Reward: Meaningful, high-value interactions, and a rapidly growing network.
โš ๏ธ Downside: The 'grind' wasnโ€™t sustainable.

Three posts per week meant six hours of work, and then most of the research never saw the light of day, because I had to cut everything down to 3,000 characters or a few carousel slides.

That didn't sit right, because the depth and context were both lost, and LinkedInโ€™s feed made my hard work disappear after just a few days.

โ€”
So I came up with something revolutionary: A Website! ๐Ÿ˜ฑ ๐ŸŒ

A personal space for longer-form essays, where I set the rules.
No character limits, no artificial brevity, just honest, research-driven writing about the topics I care most about:

๐Ÿ”ง Electronics manufacturing (EMS), PCB & PCB assembly
๐Ÿ“ฆ Supply chains, cost models, and risk management
๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡บ Europeโ€™s industrial competitiveness and sovereignty

My idea is simple:
๐Ÿ‘‰ LinkedIn will remain the place for short, high-density highlights from each essay.
๐Ÿ‘‰ The website is where the full picture lives: context and depth are back!

Those who want concise takeaways get them here (or per email).
Those who'd like to go deeper and learn with me can head to the site.

โ€”

Itโ€™s also part of a longer journey: to grow not just as a writer, but as a trusted voice of integrity. The site should be where people can see my work, engage, and (in time) consider me a consultant, collaborator, or simply a peer worth exchanging ideas with.

โ€”

Version 1.0 of the site is now live. ๐Ÿš€
It currently has an โ€œAbout Meโ€ page and a signup option.

First blog post should be out this week.
The cadence: one per week. ๐Ÿ“…

Once a month, Iโ€™ll also send out a short email with the highlights. ๐Ÿ“ฉ

โ€”

If any of this resonates with you โ€” if you care about electronics, manufacturing, Europe, or just thoughtful writing โ€” Iโ€™d be glad if you visited the site, had a read, and reached out to me with your thoughts.
